Nine women accused Jared Leto of committing sexual misconduct with minors

Nine women have accused actor and musician Jared Leto of inappropriate sexual behavior and interactions with adolescent girls, according to an extensive report published in Air Mail magazine. The Oscar winner is accused of having inappropriate contact with underage women for several years. One anonymous woman claimed that she was 16 years old when she met Leto at a Los Angeles cafe in 2006 and the actor allegedly asked for her phone number. A spokesperson for Jared Leto told Airmail that the musician “has not drunk alcohol or used drugs in over 35 years.”

The woman claimed that the actor invited her to a party at his Laurel Canyon home, which she declined, but he continued to contact her. The conversations became sexual, asking questions like “Have you ever had a boyfriend?” and “Did you ever suck a dick?” His voice changed and his manner of speaking terrified her.

Model Laura La Rue gave a similar account of an alleged encounter with Leto in 2008, when she was 16 and he was 36. She claimed that the musician allegedly continued to ask for her phone number despite her age. A subsequent visit to Leto’s Los Angeles home in April 2009, during which she claimed he was flirting with her and bothering her the entire time she was there.

Jared Leto’s representatives have strongly denied Laura La Rue’s claims to Air Mail. DJ Allie Teilz recently revived the allegations on social media by sharing a 2012 Facebook post, claiming that she was assaulted and traumatized by the Suicide Squad actor when she was 17. A fourth woman claimed she met the “Dallas Buyers Club” actor at an 18-and-over club, where she was approached by Leto’s assistant and asked for her phone number.

A fifth accuser claimed that Jared Leto began a flirtatious texting relationship with her while she was still underage, but their affair allegedly escalated after she turned 18. One source claimed that Jared Leto hosted questionable parties in Los Angeles, inviting young women to join, with an estimated ratio of 60 “very young women to four or five men.”
